Synopsis
En 1973, Bing Russell, vétéran d'Hollywood, créa la seule équipe de baseball indépendante de l'époque : les légendaires Portland Mavericks. Il opéra sans affiliation à une ligue professionnelle à une époque où ce sport était voué à l'échec à Portland, alors une ville en déclin. Malgré le scepticisme ambiant, les Mavericks attirèrent un large public et connurent un succès retentissant grâce à leurs nombreux exploits.
